Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, Harshit Rana added to India team for first two Zimbabwe T20Is

 


The BCCI selection commission has picked Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana to travel to Zimbabwe for the first two T20Is of the five- match series. The triad have been picked as reserves for Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

While Sudharsan has formerly made his debut in ODIs- in South Africa last time, Jitesh has played nine T20Is for India having made his debut in the Asian Games in 2023. Harshit, who had an emotional IPL with eventual titleholders Kolkata Knight Riders, is uncapped at the transnational position.

Samson, Dube and Jaiswal were a part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup on Saturday( June 29) and their departure to India from Barbados was delayed as a result of a Hurricane.

The BCCI has verified that the World Cup- winning triad will first travel to India with the rest of the members from the Caribbean before departing for Harare for the final three T20Is.

India have picked a fairly inexperienced team for the five- match T20I series with Shubman Gill being named captain. The series will kickstart on July 6 and conclude on July 14 with all five games listed to be played at the Harare Sports Club.
