Munro's contract with Desert Serpents in the ILT20 meant he was not available for the full season of the BBL in the last two times. With this new contract still, he'll be there to feature in all the matches, including the tests should toast make it there.
Munro has amassed 10,961 runs in all T20s with a strike rate of141.25 in 428 matches. In January 2018, he held the record for being the first player to score three T20I centuries, achieving the feat by scoring 104 off 53 balls against West Indies. He's also the alternate fastest to 100 T20I sixes in terms of balls faced( 963) behind only Evin Lewis.
Brisbane Heat, who won the 2023- 24 season of the Big Bash, would hope the retention of Munro would help them defend their crown latterly this time. Munro said he was agitated to be part of the team and could not stay for the openings which await him during the summer.
" It's a strong team again and I am looking forward to being part of what we can make together. There are always openings to get better and as a group, we should be agitated about the new pretensions we will pursue this summer.
" Playing at a packed Gabba again, especially in front of family and musketeers, is such a highlight and the way the suckers have embraced the platoon in the once many seasons has been brilliant to witness,'' Munro said.
